Thurs Feb 25. Meet at Roadhouse Restaurant.
Come enjoy dinner and a show with HSA. You can even dress up (how fun). Guys, wear a shirt with buttons, and tuck it into some slacks or khakis. Girls, I really don't know how to dress up. Maybe if I describe the event, you will know what to do? It's the Roadhouse Restaurant, so... restaurant clothes. Later, it's Beauty and the Beast at Miller, so wear theatrical performance clothes. That's about the best wardrobe advice I can give. Pls RSVP to wmuhsa.programming (at) gmail.com. Cost is $10 for tix, and you buy your own dinner. The tickets for students are usually $12, but HSA loves you and got a group discount rate.

Dear Honors Students,
The Honors Student Association is looking for honors students to help plan our upcoming service events. These events will include Adopt-a-highway and other forms of community involvement. The HSA Service Committee needs compassionate and outgoing honors students to make our community a better place.

WMU's Honors Student Association will be electing new Executive Board members this March. Applications to run for one of these positions are now available at the front desk of the Lee Honors College, or from any current Executive Board member during their office hours. If you are looking to get more involved in campus life, are ready to take on a leadership position, or if you just love HSA, please take this opportunity and apply. Applications will be due on Friday, March 12th.

Trivia Cup Planners Wanted

Dear Honors Students,
The Honors Student Association is looking for honors students to plan the first ever WMU Trivia Cup! This event will be a general trivia competition and will be the first campus-wide event put on by the HSA. This event's planning committee is forming now and needs the creative minds of WMU honors students to make this event the best it can be.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the Trivia Cup committee, please email the HSA Programming Coordinator, Alex Smith, by Sunday, Feb. 14th.

Hockey Game - Breast Cancer Awareness Night

HSA goes to Lawson Ice Arena. Meet at the LHC at 6:30pm on Friday, Feb 5th to walk over to the hockey game.
Also, it's Breast Cancer Awarness Night! Students should wear pink for cancer awareness. The entire arena will be covered with pink shirts. :D

Unique Sled Competition

Dress warm and bring a unique object to sled on! 1st place prize – bragging rights. Other competitions include snow angel contest and snowball fight. The event will take place on Wednesday, Jan 20th from 7:30pm to 9:30pm at Bigelow Hill.

Choose from one of two spectacular designs. The brown t-shirt was the winner of last year's contest for a student to design the t-shirt. The shirts cost $10, you can buy them at HSA events or during the office hours of the EBoard members.

Don't forget, this Wednesday, the 21st is our second General Assembly meeting! We're meeting at the rocks by the Valley Pond at 7:30 and we'll be painting them, so don't wear nice clothes. There will also be a guest speaker from Alternative Spring Break and a bunch of fun games, so make sure you come!
Speaker Series #1: Donuts with Dr. Dunn

HSA presents the first event in this year's Speaker Series: Donuts with Dr. Dunn! Come and have a "fireside chat" with your president about what it takes to be successful. After a 15 min. presentation by Dr. Dunn, there will be a Q & A session for students to get to better know the president and ask him for advice. As the name implies, coffee and donuts will be served. The event will occur on Monday, October 5, 2009 from 6:00pm - 7:30pm in the Lee Honors College Lounge.

The 3rd Annual Honors Student Association Homecoming Dance! This year's theme is Classic Hollywood. The dance will occur Friday October 23, 2009 8 pm -11:30 pm at the Lee Honors College. Please come in Semi-formal/Formal dress. Tickets are $7 individual, or $12 for a couple. Featuring Music, Food, Mocktini Bar, and fun!! Open to all Honors Students and their guests. Tickets will be on sale October 5, 2009 at the front desk of the Lee Honors College and through eBoard members during their office hours.
